Ms. Akshita Raina
Chairperson

Akshita is an independent litigating attorney practicing at the High Court of Delhi. Akshita is an avid reader and a passionate voice on issues of human rights, women rights, rights of marginalised and exploited sections, and a scion of trial court litigation. Across her professional ventures she has had the advantage of being associated with varied structures and law firms across verticals, thereby being prepped with substantial exposure and experience to the working of Indian legal industry, impediments and other issues plaguing the Indian legal scenario.

She has voiced her opinion through a range of Public Interest Litigation and also been instrumental in providing legal aid to the extremely poor and marginalised sections of the society in both civil and criminal trials. Known for her unapologetic and bold opinions on issues of mass relevance, gender neutrality, privacy, data protection and anti-surveillance against the present dispensation; Akshita has carved a niche for her practice premised on human-rights, equal participation of marginalised sections and upholding constitutional aspirations.

Ms. Vritti Gulati

Vritti is an ultimate year law student at GGSIP University New Delhi. She is a literature graduate and a policy enthusiast. She has previously interned at the National Human Rights Commission, National Green Tribunal and recently attended the Schola Emperica Prague Summer School on Crime, Law and Psychology.  She believes in a rights-based advocacy approach and has also worked with Teach For India on a legal literacy and civil rights awareness project as a fellow.

Ms. Moumita Ghosh

Moumita is a seasoned Social Researcher with an LLB, MSW, MPhil in Sociology, and currently pursuing PhD. She is actively engaged in social development projects, and writing on diverse topics related to social issues.

Payal is a bibliophile and an ardent animal lover. She is currently working as a Gandhi Fellow in Sanand block of Ahmedabad under Piramal Foundation for Educational Leadership with 10 Government Schools to bring about educational and social transformation.

Graduate in Electronics Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University in 2018 & Gandhi Fellowship Alumnus 2020. Driven by the ground experience, he is strongly determined to bring about a change in the society by working with government & development organizations on projects for advancing quality of education & lives of unprivileged persons of the society.

Mr. Ieshan Misri
Research and Education Team

Ieshan comes from the developmental social work sector, having worked in the field as Program manager in projects related to alternate education, curriculum development, financial empowerment of migrant Kashmiri women. As a Public Policy professional, he was actively involved in consultations that led to the establishment of Delhi Assembly Research Centre. He has also worked on advocacy and drafting an amendment to the anti-stalking laws so as to widen their scope.

Ms. Shreya Singh

Shreya holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Miranda House and a Masters in Urban Studies from Ambedkar University Delhi. She is passionate about exploring the ever-changing aspects of city-making and has a keen interest in urban economics. With a profound interest in fieldwork, she wishes to enrich her research experiences.

Mr. Bhuvnesh Soni

Bhuvnesh is a master’s in Economics from Dr.BR Ambedkar University, Agra. Currently Associated with Sphere India as Program associate-A National coalition of humanitarian agencies in India. He has worked extensively on the ground for 6 years. Currently, in this pandemic, he is working as the UP-State Coordinator for India Co-Win Action Network and Co-founder of Happiness Volunteers, supported by NITI AAYOG. He also leads in COVID India task force team that supports the efforts of Govt War rooms to combat COVID-19 pandemic in India. He has most recently worked as Programme Coordinator with Village Development Foundation in Hyderabad where he worked on increasing social awareness at the grassroots level. He is also a core team member in many Organisations.

Mr. Sarthak Saluja

Ms. Upasana Chakma

Upasana is a developmental professional with master’s degrees in English and Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Her area of interest is Rights-based initiatives for women and children. She has been involved in several anti-trafficking programs for women and children. She also strongly believes in an education system that will not only be informative but emancipating. In her free time, she likes to read and explore new places.
